2026 FISU America Games
The 2026 FISU America Games will be the 4th edition of the Games, held in Lima, Peru from July 20 - August 1, 2026. The Games, held every two years, will feature UniUSA in up to 15 sports, competing against 20–25 countries from North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean.

The FISU America Games 2026, set to take place in Lima, Peru, is preparing to welcome the continent’s top university athletes for a vibrant celebration of sport, education, and cultural exchange. As one of South America’s most dynamic capitals, Lima offers a compelling blend of history, innovation, and proven event-hosting expertise, positioning it as an outstanding stage for university sport in the Americas. Lima hosted the 2019 Pan America Games and will do so again in 2027, with many of those facilities being used for the 2026 FISU America Games.
Situated along the Pacific coast, Lima is recognized as Peru’s political, economic, and academic center. With a metropolitan population of over 10 million people, the city has established itself as a major hub for international sport following the successful delivery of large-scale multi-sport events, supported by modern venues, efficient transport networks, and a growing sports culture. Its extensive portfolio of world-class facilities provides a strong foundation for the FISU America Games 2026.
Lima’s strategic investment in sports infrastructure and urban development has reinforced its reputation as a reliable and forward-thinking host city. Lima hosted the 2019 Pan America Games and will do so again in 2027, with many of those facilities being used for the 2026 FISU America Games. The Games will utilize a combination of existing high-performance venues and university facilities, ensuring operational efficiency and long-term legacy benefits for student-athletes and local communities. Following a competitive selection process, Lima was awarded the hosting rights for the FISU America Games 2026 in recognition of Peru’s growing leadership in university sport and its demonstrated organizational capacity. FISU America leadership expressed confidence in Lima’s ability to deliver an inspiring and technically sound event that showcases the strength and diversity of university athletics across the region.
