One Month Out: UniUSA Heads to Lima

We are officially one month out from the 2026 FISU America Games in Lima, Peru, and excitement is building across the UniUSA community.

Beginning July 20, over 300 student-athletes will represent the United States across 15 sports, making this the largest team UniUSA has ever sent to a FISU America Games. The delegation will bring together athletes and staff from across the country as they prepare to represent their schools, their country, and each other on an international stage.

The fourth edition of the FISU America Games will welcome university athletes from 18 countries across North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean, marking the largest country field in event history. The expanded field will include the U.S. Virgin Islands, a U.S. territory competing in the event for the first time.

UniUSA heads to Lima following a strong showing at the 2024 FISU America Games in Cali, Colombia, where U.S. athletes medaled across multiple sports. In swimming, UniUSA finished second overall with 34 total medals, including 10 golds, behind only Brazil.

This year’s UniUSA team includes student-athletes from more than 120 colleges and universities, reflecting the depth and diversity of collegiate athletics across the country. The roster features athletes from Power Four programs including Indiana University, the University of North Carolina, Purdue University, Rutgers University, and the University of Washington, as well as institutions such as the University of San Diego, Edmonds College, Amarillo College, Mesa Community College, and many others.

With one month to go, Team UniUSA is preparing to arrive in Lima with pride, unity, and energy for the largest FISU America Games delegation in UniUSA history.
