
UniUSA’s Debut in the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 FISU America Games
Yesterday evening marked the start of the largest university sporting event in the Americas - the FISU America Games, held this year in the beautiful city of Lima, Peru.
The event kicked off with a parade of the delegations from each participating country. Bearing the flag of the United States of America were Madison White of the University of San Diego Women’s Beach Volleyball team, Aiden Sherrel of the Indiana Hoosiers Men’s Basketball team, and Blaine Brooks from the University of Texas at Dallas competing for the weightlifting team in Lima.
Madison White
University of San Diego
Selected as one of UniUSA's flag bearers, Madison has established herself as one of the nation's top collegiate beach volleyball players. A two-time NCAA National Champion with the University of San Diego (2023, 2024) and a 2025 First Team All-American, she has consistently demonstrated excellence at the highest level of collegiate competition.
As a team captain, Madison is recognized for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence. She is also pursuing her Master of Jurisprudence (M.Jur.) at the University of San Diego with plans to attend law school, exemplifying success both academically and athletically. Her accomplishments, character, and dedication make her an outstanding representative of the United States at the FISU America Games.
Aiden Sherrell
Indiana University
Selected as one of UniUSA's flag bearers, Aiden exemplifies the qualities of leadership, integrity, and dedication that define the student-athlete experience. Throughout his athletic career at Alabama & now as a committed member for the 2026-2027 season with the Indiana Hoosiers, he has earned the respect of teammates and coaches through his exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to doing the right thing both on and off the court.
Aiden consistently represents his university and UniUSA with professionalism and character while setting a strong example for those around him. His leadership, sportsmanship, and unwavering commitment to his team make him an outstanding representative of the United States at the FISU America Games.
Blaine Brooks
University of Texas at Dallas
Selected as one of UniUSA's flag bearers, Blaine has built an outstanding career representing both his university and the United States in collegiate weightlifting. A five-time All-American competing in the 95 kg division, he is also a three-time UniUSA team member, earning a gold medal in 2022 and a silver medal in 2024 at the FISU America Games.
Blaine's sustained success on the international stage reflects his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to representing the United States with pride. His experience, leadership, and sportsmanship make him an outstanding representative of the United States at the FISU America Games.
