Students from Harvard and Yale University Compete in the FISU America 3X3 Tournament in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Claim the Championship Title

Countries from across the Americas gathered in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for the 2026 FISU America 3X3 Championship, bringing together university athletes for a unique combination of elite competition and cultural exchange.
Representing the United States were two teams selected by UniUSA: the USA Red Team from Harvard University and the USA Blue Team from Yale University.

Before traveling to Honduras, both squads met in Waco, Texas for a training camp led by coaches and staff members from Sports Reach Inc. The camp provided an opportunity for the athletes to prepare for high-level international competition through skill development, team bonding, and practice play.
The 2026 3x3 tournament broke FISU participation records with 17 men's teams and 14 women's teams competing from across the region. The tournament showcased the continued growth of university 3x3 basketball throughout the Americas and provided student-athletes with the chance to compete against some of the continent's top talent.
Both U.S. teams delivered strong performances. The USA Red Team finished sixth overall, while the USA Blue Team claimed the championship title, bringing home gold for the United States.
Beyond the results, the experience gave student-athletes the opportunity to represent their universities and country, build connections with peers from different cultures, and experience the values of international university sport firsthand.
